JUNIOR/PARENT CONFERENCES
Junior parents are reminded to call Pat Balles to make an appointment to meet with the school counselor for the purposes of post secondary planning. Please see the attached agenda. This meeting genenerally lasts one hour. Letters of invitation were sent home last week.

SAT PREP PROGRAM
Karen LeRoy has agreed to run an SAT prep program for us this year. It will run on Wednesdays and Sundays from Feb. 29 - April 4th. All juniors are encouraged to participate and sophomores are invited as well, since we may not be offering this program next year. Please see the attached flyer for more details.

FAFSA and FINANCIAL AID
January 1st is the official start of the financial aid process for seniors applying for college aid. Check the deadlines of each school....they can vary considerably from school to school.
Just a reminder....parents do not need to complete tax returns prior to completing FAFSA - estimate based on last year's return. Help is available on College Goal Saturday, Jan. 28 from 2-4 at various locations - www.collegegoalri.org

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR SENIORS
The Oberkotter Family Foundation scholarship application has been received. Deadline for submission is FEB. 1st.
ALL SENIORS ARE ELIGIBLE for this scholarship, but the application takes time!
At least one $3500 scholarship will be awarded to a worthy BIS student. Pick up criteria in Guidance.
